Hanging pot racks are a good space saver for busy cooks.

Hanging pot racks are device used to save space and keeps pots handy in the kitchen. They hang from the ceiling and allow pots and pans to be suspended above the cooking area. This saves cabinet space and allows for easy access to any pot or pan at a glance. You also can use pot racks to hang kitchen utensils with curved handles, such as ladles and spoons. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Set the stud finder against the ceiling in the area you hope to hang the rack. Move the tool across it to find the studs' locations; you will need two of them. When the light on the tool turns on, you have located a stud. Mark the position of the stud with masking tape.

2. Move the stud finder either right or left to find the adjacent stud. Mark that spot.

3. Set the screw end of the hook against the tape. Twist the hook counterclockwise to drive the screw tip through the ceiling and into the stud. Continue to screw in the hook until it cannot be turned by hand.

4. Place the rod portion of the screwdriver through the eyehole of the hook. Use the screwdriver as a handle to twist the hook further into the ceiling stud.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to attach the second hook.

6. Most hanging pot racks have support chains. Lift the rack until you can attach these support chains onto the hooks. Adjust the position of the chains until the rack hangs evenly.

7. Place the support hooks onto the rack. Set them far enough apart so the wide end of the pots and pans don't touch.

8. Hang the pots and pans. Adjust the hanging hooks as necessary.
