If you have a large family, you will want a table that will seat everyone, but also remember to take into consideration the size of the patio. Wood, resin, wicker and wrought iron are all good replacements for glass.
4. Test the furniture for comfort. If you want to relax outside, comfortable chairs are a must. Sit in the chairs as you discuss the selection. If the chairs become uncomfortable while you are sitting there, then you won't sit in them very long if you bring them home, which means that you will not use them.
5. Arrange the furniture you are thinking about in roughly the way you would at home. Use your measuring tape to figure the distance around it to make sure it will work on your patio. If you are satisfied with the items, purchase them and take them home.
