Compare Prices On Plate Stands

Compare prices of plate stands before you purchase one.

After years of purchasing beautiful decorative plates, you have finally decided to put them on display. There are wire and adhesive plate stands, which can be hung on the wall, and ornamental metal, wood and plastic plate stands, which can be placed on tables, counters and bookshelves. You will need to look at the rooms you want to display your plates in and match your plate stands to those rooms.

Instructions

1. Write down the different plate stand styles available. There are a variety ranging from clear plastic plate stands to wrought iron plate stands. Consider the room where you would like to place the stands when making this decision.

2. Decide how many plate stands you wish to purchase and if you would like to buy in bulk. Normally you can get the best price by buying a large quantity. If you decide to buy in bulk, divide the total price of the plate stands by the number of plate stands you are getting. For example, if you are paying $100 for 20 plate stands, you would divide 100 by 20. Which would mean you are paying $5 per plate stand.

3. Write down prices for plate stands listed on websites like Gibson Holders, Fine Home Displays, Xylem Design and Tripar International. Make sure you match the plate stand style to the price. Include possible shipping and handling fees, which would raise the actual price per plate.

4. Visit local department stores like Target, Kmart, Kohl's and Macy's and record plate stand prices. Write down the style of the plate stand next to each price.

5. View the different prices listed for the plate stand styles you wish to purchase. Organize plate stand prices by least expensive to most expensive.
