Hang Wrought Iron Planters From The Ceiling

Wrought iron planters are a practical way to display your plants while also saving space. Hanging a heavy planter, however, is somewhat of a project because you want to make sure it stays attached to the ceiling. The key is to find a hook strong enough to hold the weight and a part of the ceiling sturdy enough to hold the hook and iron planter. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Find a stud in the ceiling with your stud finder. Make sure the actual spot on the stud that you choose is far enough away from the wall. Plan ahead in terms of the location because your plant may get bigger and begin to butt up against the wall.

2. Drill a hole in the ceiling directly into the stud you found in Step 1. The hole needs to the right size for your eye-hook. It cannot be too big because the eye-hook will not hold, and it cannot be too small because the eye-hook will not fit.

3. Place an anchor in the hole that you drilled. Anchors add stability to an eye-hook. Screw the eye-hook into the anchor.

4. Place the wrought iron planter onto the eye-hook.
