DirecTV has advanced parental control features that allow you to block programming, restrict TV time for your children and limit Pay Per View purchases. However, you must have your code to override or change parental controls. To reset the code, you must call DirecTV customer service.
Instructions
1. Call 800-531-5000. Follow the prompts to speak with a customer service representative.
2. Identify yourself as the primary account holder. You must provide your DirecTV account number, name and phone number before the representative will assist you. If there is a password on your account, you must know that as well.
3. Ask the representative to reset your parental control password. Write down the new code and keep it in a safe place.
Tips Warnings
Make your code something easy for you to remember but difficult for someone else to guess.
Keep your code in a place where your children cannot find it.
