Aspen


The Aspen Non-Catalytic Cast Iron Wood Stove has a cooking surface on top and an ash pan below the fire door. A noncatalytic stove requires high temperatures to produce a secondary combustion as opposed to a catalyst. The flue collar is reversible and 6 inches wide, and the stove comes with a bottom heat shield. You control the air supply thermostatically, and it comes with an infrared coated ceramic glass. The stove's dimensions are 15 inches wide by 24 inches high and 23 inches deep, and it can hold logs up to 16 inches long. It burns wood for up to five hours, and it produces 18,000 British Thermal Units (BTUs) per hour. It is 81.1 percent efficient.


DutchWest


The DutchWest Catalytic Cast Iron Wood Stove uses a catalyst to start the fire, allowing you to start the fire at a lower temperature. The iron is made of cast iron, and the accents are made of nickel. Three models are available under this series: 2460, 2461 and 2462. The 2460 can handle logs up to 19 inches long, and the 2461 can handle 22-inch long logs. The 2462 burns logs up to 25 inches long. Defiant


The Defiant Catalytic and Non-Catalytic Cast Iron Wood Stove series allows you to choose between the catalyst and noncatalyst method. These stoves are available in five different collars, and the ash pan swings out for easy cleaning. The flue is 8 inches wide on the noncatalytic model. The catalytic model is 31 inches wide by 28.5 inches high by 19.25 inches deep, and it produces 0.80 g of emissions per hour. The noncatalytic version measures 31.5 inches wide by 28.875 inches high by 23.625 inches deep and produces 0.75 grams of emissions per hour. Both units heat up to 2,400 square feet.
