Attach A Headboard To A Bed Frame

Revamping your bedroom style does not have to empty your wallet but can be as easy as adding a new headboard to your metal spring bed or a wooden platform bed. Being creative is key, and an antique door can double as your new headboard. When paired with the perfect sized area rug, this can be the finishing touches to your 'French Country' look. When attaching the headboard, be careful moving your bed as not to mess with the alignment of your bed since this can cause your bed to squeak. You can easily avoid this problem by attaching the headboard to the wall rather than to your bed. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Verify that your metal bed frame has the appropriate holes in the frame with which to attach the headboard.

2. Position the headboard in front of the top of the bed frame.

3. Align the holes in the headboard posts with the corresponding holes in the bed frame.

4. Insert your screws or bolts into the holes, and tighten them (if required) with your screwdriver or Allen wrench, whichever is appropriate. Once you have tightened the screws or bolts, attach and tighten any included nuts.

5. Move the bed into position in your bedroom.
