Hang Wrought Iron Wine Racks

Iron wine rack

Wine racks provide an attractive and compact way to store multiple bottles of wine. Wine racks are available in several varieties, including racks that sit on a counter and racks that hang on a wall or under a cabinet. In addition, wine racks are manufactured in numerous finishes such as wood, plastic and iron to complement home decor. The most important aspect of hanging a wrought iron wine rack is securing it to the wall so that it can support the weight of the wine bottles it will eventually hold. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Place a stud finder flat against a wall and turn it on by pushing the power button. Slide the stud finder against the wall until the device emits a beep. Mark the location on the wall with a pencil. Continue sliding the stud finder along the wall until another stud is located. Mark this location with a pencil as well. Ideally, each screw of the wine rack will be inserted into a wall stud.

2. Hold the wine rack against the wall so that the wine rack screw holes are aligned with the pencil marks indicating the wall studs.

3. Insert a 3/4 inch screw, usually provided with the wine rack, into one of the screw holes and screw it into the wall using a screwdriver.

4. Insert the remaining screws into the wine rack screw holes and screw them into the wall with the screwdriver.

5. Place your hands on each side of the wine rack and try to shake it gently. The wine rack should not move at all. If the rack shakes or rattles even slightly, tighten each screw until the rack is secure.
