Make A Portable Fire Pit

Make a Portable Fire Pit

Fire pits have become the newest way to relax and enjoy your backyard and to spend time with friends and family. If you have thought about getting a fire pit but don't want it to be permanently in one place, why not make a portable pit that you can move around whenever you want? You can even take it with you when you go to tailgate parties, friends' homes or to the park. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Placement of the Fire Pit

1. Choose a location that is a safe distance from trees, your house, car, clotheslines and outdoor furniture.

2. Place the wrought-iron plant stand on a level surface, then place the stainless-steel wok and stand on top. The plant stand will give the fire pit height. Check to see that the bowl is level and that it will not topple over when you place wood or charcoal inside. The stand that comes with the wok helps the round bottom of the bowl to stay level without moving around.

3. Place either charcoal or wood inside the bowl depending on how you want to use the pit. Use wood if you are planning to just sit around the fire. If you plan to cook on it you may want to use charcoal, which will stay lit longer and distribute the heat more evenly. Place a grilling grate on top for cooking.
