Lexington Missouri Restaurants

Lexington, Missouri is an antique-hunter's paradise with numerous shops selling both American and European antiquities line Main Street. A stroll through the downtown heart will give a sense of the town's historic importance, as many buildings and sites are commemorated in the National Register of Historic Places. Lexington was an outfitter stop for the Oregon and Santa Fe trails, and the firm that founded the Pony Express was headquartered here. There are several restaurants in the local area to accommodate visitors.

Mulligan's Pub & Grub features a variety of standard pub fare in a casual setting. The restaurant is situated in an old brick building with wrought-iron tables in the front and on the patio, where diners can enjoy a meal in the summer months. Menu items include pork egg rolls, lime chicken wings and spinach dip, as well as numerous sandwiches, such as the smoked sausage brat and the mushroom swiss burger, and 8-inch or 12-inch pizzas like the Canadian bacon and pineapple or the tomato and garlic chicken. Mulligan's Pub & Grub is open seven days a week.

Papa Jack's Pizza


The family-run Papa Jack's Pizza serves pizzas, calzones and sandwiches on homemade dough in a casual cafeteria setting. Dishes include meatball sub, chicken bacon melt, mozzarella sticks, grilled chicken salad and parmesan chicken. Pizzas like the taco pizza with refried beans and beef, the BBQ chicken pizza or the chicken alfredo pizza can be done on original, white thin or wheat thin crust. Located across from the Lafayette County Courthouse, Papa Jack's Pizza is open Monday through Saturday.

Riley's Irish Pub


The family-friendly Riley's Irish Pub was built in the 1890s, and retains its old stained glass windows, tile floor, back bar and tin ceilings. The pub serves classic favorites like reuben sandwiches, BBQ chicken wings, salads, pizzas and pastas. Homemade desserts include fresh apple pie and German chocolate cake. Riley's is located less than a mile from the Battle of Lexington Historic Site, and it is open seven days a week.
