Make An Iron Frence With Stone Posts

Iron fence panels can attach to stone posts.


You can make an iron fence that is attached to stone posts by using a prefabricated iron fence panel. To do this you will need to first determine where the fence is to be constructed. Iron fence panels can be attached to an existing stone post or new stone posts that have been placed in your yard. You can find iron fence panels at your local home improvement store. Instructions


Side of Stone Post


1. Measure the height of each rail on the fence panel with the tape measure. Note the measurements on a piece of paper.


2. Transfer the measurements to the side of the corner stone post. Mark the location for each fence rail on the stone post with the felt tip marker.


3. Place a fence bracket on the top mark and drill pilot holes for the mounting bolts by using a power drill with a masonry bit.


4. Insert a bolt into the mounting holes and tighten with the socket wrench.


5. Set the next bracket in place. Drill the pilot holes and attach the bracket to the stone post.

6. Place the fence panel on top of the stone post. Mark the location of the mounting holes with the felt tip marker.


7. Drill pilot holes for a mounting screws into the stone post using a power drill with a masonry bit. Insert a concrete anchor into each of the pilot holes.


8. Align the mounting plate of the iron fence post with concrete anchors. Insert a bolt into each mounting hole and tighten with the socket wrench.


9. Repeat this step process with the remaining mounting plates for the iron fence panel.
